High Bay VS Low Bay

Bay lighting is installed on high ceilings and illuminates large areas such as warehouses, buildings, exhibition halls, train/bus stations and sports centers. As bay lighting is used with a high-ceiling building which can provide high brightness while reducing glare.

Bay lighting can be categorized as low bay and high bay- differences by their installed ceiling height. Low bay fixtures are suitable for ceilings 12-20 feet high whilst high bay fixtures for 20-45 feet high. Installation could be another distinguishing way- low bay fixtures are mounted by chains and hooks for suspension. High bay fixtures can either be suspended from ceiling by using hooks, chains or pendants, or surface mounted to the ceiling depending on the fixture design and structure of the facility.
